This Saturday, the Movie in the Park with be the Australian classic “The Castle”. As we move into winter and the days become shorter, the screening time for the Movies in the Park has been brought forward to 6:00pm. This makes it ideal for families with young children and earlier bedtimes.
The Movies in the Park are delivered by the Manly Harbour Village Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Bayside PCYC. These great community events made possible through the proceeds from the Jan Powers Farmers Markets and the Manly Creative Markets.
This year the Partnership plans for the market proceeds to also be invested in bud lighting for the park trees and the construction of a performance plinth in Little Bayside Park. The lighting will create great atmosphere in the park, and also make it more useable in the evenings. The performance plinth will be used for events such as Days in the Park and other community performances.
