Mother’s Day Fashion and Style Morning Tea

Join us for our Mother’s Day Morning Tea filled with fashion stylish tips that are simple and effective whilst fun and easy.   Be entertained by our stylist Ann Whitaker and MC Carlee Hay and enjoy the fashions provided by our Manly Harbour Village Labels By The Bay and Ebb & Flow Boutique.  Feast on a delicious morning tea and enjoy the breath taking views from The Captain’s Parrott Cafe, Wynnum Manly Yacht Club.

You will be greeted on arrival with a refreshing Mimosa or your choice of a freshly brewed tea or barista coffee.  Enjoy delicious morning tea of savoury and sweet treats, fruit platter.  Be entertained by our fashion parade commentary think “Trinny and Susannah” style.   Get there in plenty of time to network and socialise with other like-minded business owners, colleagues and friends.

There will be a chance to do some shopping after the show, so make sure you allow for extra time!

Ann Whitaker Style – Colour Creates Confidence

Ann Whitaker has been a Colour and Image consultant for over 15 years and is passionate about teaching women how to look fabulous without them having to spend hours in front of a mirror. Ann trained as Image consultant in 2007 after experiencing first-hand the difference that knowing the correct colours and style had made to her own self-confidence, and she loves teaching this life changing information to others.  She is a wife, a mum, a business owner, a dog lover and as a 50 plus woman she understands all the daily juggles that most women face and she offers simple, effective solutions to help her clients feel confident in their appearance every day. 

Carlee Hay, MC

A fundraising and event management professional, Carlee has helped raise millions of dollars for social justice causes including domestic violence, poverty, homelessness, and disability.   An Ambassador for the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust, Carlee has always been passionate about supporting local and grassroot charities. Having worked in the profit-for-purpose field for the past 15 years, she has now taken a leap of faith and has stepped away to follow a completely different passion and is now a marriage celebrant – bringing loved up couples together!  Living in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland life is still busy as a wife, a mother, a carer, a small business owner and volunteering work for her favourite charities.

Labels by the Bay brings together a range of beautiful designers with a great reputation for producing good quality clothing for a range of figures. Owners Pauline Southerwood and Bernadette Travers decided that style and comfort should not be mutually exclusive, and style should be available to every woman, whatever her age, size or shape.  Ebb & Flow Boutique – Nautical, Coastal and Island lifestyle is how Julieann Starr describes the vibe of Ebb & Flow boutique. It is a befitting description reflecting its Manly Harbour Village setting on the upper reaches of Cambridge Parade.

Meet Our Models:

Our models are provided by Miss Fit Bikini Model (AKA FBME: Fit Bikini Model Education, Experience, Empowerment, Exercise) is a program and national pageant, with a strong focus on promoting health, wellness, a holistic approach to fitness, body positivity, self-development, empowerment and building confidence in women, of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds. Our mission is to set the best example for the younger generation.

About Wynnum Manly Yacht Club:

The Wynnum Manly Yacht Club is home to the Wynnum Manly Sailing Club, Manly Dragon Boat Club and The Captain’s Parrot Café.  Nestled within the inner reaches of the Manly Boat Harbour, the sunny patio makes the perfect spot for a quiet breakfast, light lunch, sundowners or relaxed dinner.  We are a friendly local club that welcomes humans and fur-babies alike.
