World Wetlands Day is celebrated internationally each year on the 2nd February. It marks the anniversary of the signing of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance in Ramsar, Iran on the 2nd of February 1971.
As a part of this world-wide celebration on Sunday 2nd February, the Moreton Bay Foundation has arranged for University of Queensland Associate Professor Ian Tibbetts to lead three guided walks in the rich intertidal zone – exploring mudflats, molluscs and migratory bird habitats.
Walks commence at 8am, 9am and 10am, and with places limited BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL so please register in advance and arrive 10 minutes prior at the Moreton Bay Discovery Centre, adjacent to the Wynnum Manly Visitor Information Centre. William Gunn Jetty, Manly.
