In planning its events and promotions, the Manly Harbour Village Chamber of Commerce has a strong focus families and children – and why wouldn’t it? There are so many fantastic opportunities for children in and around the Village.
The foreshore provides a treasure trove of opportunities both at high tide when a fishing line can be thrown in the water and fish can be seen darting between the mangroves. And at low tide when there are crabs to be spotted (or caught if you are brave!), mud to be squelched in and lots of fun all round.

The playgrounds, pathways and pool are fantastic active options for the kids; likewise the jumping castle and giant slide at the Manly Creative Markets where parents enjoy a coffee while the kids burn off some energy.
Manly traders also welcome children with colouring activities and special kids events from time to time.
The opening of The Mad Hatters Bookshop (with their grand launch this weekend) brings yet more magic for the young and young at heart. The shop certainly feels like a fantasy world with the woodland reading nook and the checkerboard activity room. The rapidly filling event calendar also provides lots of entertainment options.
