Trader Representatives are key members of the Manly Harbour Village Chamber of Commerce Executive Team: they ensure a broader range of views and experiences are considered in any planning and decision making and also provide a point of contact for other Chamber Members to raise issues or ask questions.
Confirmed as Trader Representatives for 2020-21 at the recent AGM were two prominent Manly business women – Tammy Vitale (Vitale & Co Property Management) and Peta Prestidge (Tide on the Jetty).
Both Tammy and Peta are strong advocates for the Manly precinct. Reflecting on her decision to locate her specialist property management business in Manly Harbour Village Tammy Vitale says, “I recognized that where we positioned our office would be an important factor in our success and we wanted to have a location that suited our business goals and objectives.”
Meeting likeminded people who are committed to the advancement and prosperity of the area was a key motivator for Tammy Vitale to be involved in the Chamber. Likewise, Peta Prestidge says that through her involvement with the Chamber she hopes to, “…meet and gain inspiration from other vendors and perhaps provide some motivation and assistance to others at the same time.”
Looking forward, both these savvy businesswomen highlight the potential of the Manly Harbour Village with Tammy Vitale highlighting the largely untapped appeal of the area to those from interstate. Peta Prestidge sees potential to “grow events and marketing activities that provide smart opportunities for vendors to increase sales and area visitor numbers in general.”
